Summer Extracurriculars on the Common App

<p>Just a quick question, if I have summer extracurriculars, does it count for the school year before or the school year after the summer? For example, if I had an extracurricular during the summer between 9th-10th grade year, do I check the box for 9th grade or 10th grade?</p>

<p>Its up to you. Just be consistent.</p>

<p>I generally follow the rule that my “freshman summer” is the summer right after my freshman year.</p>
