Summer fraternity housing for an internship?

Hi everyone,

I'm from out of town and have an internship in the Palo Alto area this summer.

A quick Google search did not make this clear to me - do Stanford fraternities commonly have housing during the summer for people like me? I know many other schools do this.

If they do offer this, how is the social aspect? (I wouldn't know anyone, so I'd be interested in knowing how active life would be over the summer - are there still parties, social events?).

If they don't, what are other good options for summer housing at Stanford or otherwise in the area that would allow me to meet some cool people and have a good time this summer?

Thanks!

guitarman, as far as I know, Stanford summer housing is only for students who are registered for summer courses or other summer programs on campus. You can contact the Stanford housing dept. through their webpage to make sure: [Student Housing Introduction | Student Housing](http://www.stanford.edu/dept/rde/cgi-bin/drupal/housing/). They might be able to point you to some off-campus options. And ask the people at the company where you are interning for their suggestions. There are various places around the area, especially in Mountain View, where lots of summer interns live together.
