summer high school environmental science program

I am looking for a good environmental science experience for this summer. I found one that looks perfect at Sewanee (http://www.sewanee.edu/summer/high-school-students/fieldstudy/ but wanted to see if there are more. I am looking for something that is on a college campus and has field experience (so mimicking more the actual college major experience). Thanks for any suggestions. Son is a rising Junior.

The program looks really good. I also heard that college major experience can be gotten by interning at a college lab during the Summer by directly cold emailing professors. There are a few tips like this on Internet;

I never tried it. But those who did said that it was not that difficult to entice a bored professor’s interest.

Thank you sculptordad for taking a look. My son is now completing the application. He will also likely take an online course in some area of environmental science for the other weeks so he can work and save some money at home.

@sadieshadow - you should check out the programs offered through UCSD & Scripps Lajolla (CA) summer programs in environmental science and marine biology. Also internships with the Scripps Oceanographic Center. UCSD is a nice place to spend a summer! :bz
