Hey everyone. I'm doing a 8 week internship down in LA and I'm in need of a place to live. Does anyone know the best way to do this? Any websites that I can use to find listings or people who need roommates? Or if even anyone on this thread knows anyone or is renting out a place for two months please let me know. Thanks!

Craigslist or Facebook. You’ll be looking for sublet situations. Will you need housing down by USC, or near your internship?

It doesn’t matter where I live. My internship is in Hollywood though. It would be nice to live in USC because I can get to know people from SC beforehand and get a sense of the area before actually going there in the Fall.

You might want to just look in the Hollywood/Los Feliz/Silver Lake/Koreatown area because it could be cheaper than living by USC; the area is a bit price-inflated since they know students are looking to live there.

You can also look into some of the big housing/property managers around USC to see if they have subletting spaces available. (Just Google “USC housing” or search “USC” on Craigslist.)

If you are in the USC area, you can also drive around looking at FOR RENT signs. Maybe someone else has other sites to suggest, but these methods seemed to be how most people I know found places to live.

check uloop, i know a lot of my friends are still desperate to sublease, so people will probably willing to negotiate prices

What about living on the row? It’s a little pricey but has anyone rented out a room in a Frat before? And thanks for all the suggestions!

It’s usually cheaper actually. It’s a popular option, but I haven’t done it before.

if you’re a girl, yes it’s really cheap (I’ve seen 700 for the whole summer)! but i’m pretty sure they don’t rent to guys outside the frat though
