ARTSBRIDGE

too many to choose! HELP

My son did Artsbridge. We chose that program because it brings together faculty from many different colleges, not just one. The feedback was directed, clear, and very real. He felt like he learned a huge amount, and he really enjoyed seeing his familiar teachers during auditions over the last month. The Artsbridge students seem to have become really close, and they have a very active (and supportive) text chain running that is helping them all get through the application/audition/acceptance process.

@TheaterMAMA1 My son did TPAP (Panorama) for two summers. It said it was life changing. There is a huge emphasis on creativity. He made very good friends from across the country in which he stays in regular contact. The teachers they bring in a amazing. He’s worked with Gavin Creel, Christina Rodriguez, and many more. The faculty is really great. Last summer there was a faculty member who worked with the kids on songwriting. All the songs performed at the end of parents’ weekend were original works written by TPAP kids. They did arrangements so groups of kids sang these songs. It was amazing. FYI - the dance teacher, Lynzy Lab, happened to write a song this past Fall that went viral on YouTube and then she performed on Jimmy Kimmel. Check out “It’s a hard time for dudes” on YouTube. She is a DANCE teacher (on faculty at Texas State). I feel confident that it was her experience at TPAP that gave her the confidence to step outside her comfort zone to write and perform that song. – My son landed at a great college (UNCSA) and credits TPAP for giving him the confidence to have a successful audition season last year.
