Summer Internship in Shanghai

I am currently a sophomore at Brown University and I've been looking for internships in Shanghai, China for this summer and was referred by my career center to contact Absolute Internship. Anyone here had any experience applying or even doing the Absolute Internship program in Shanghai?

Vitaminw,

A few friends of mine are looking for internship in Shanghai and Beijing through [China Internship programs](http://www.china4future.com). I am considering using them too. They have very reasonable rates (almost half the fee compared to Absolute Internship). I know they are really focused on quality by providing solid projects for interns.

Good luck.

Vitaminw,

Or you can directly contact them at admin@china4future.com, or call 480-299-6140/773-971-0818.

I thought those internships where you work for a Big 4 and they pay you 100RMB/day was a ripoff. There are programs that charge you to work someone else?

I did the Shanghai program last year, it was incredible to spend a summer in Shanghai enjoying the food, the culture and meeting so many international students. The experience of working and living in a foreign culture was amazing. As for the internship itself, I learned so much by working on meaningful projects for a start-up company. I was given important responsibilities, which allowed me to really mature and become a true professional. The staff is really helpful and showed us the city and arranged activities every weekend.
I would def recommend the program to anyone that wants to intern in China!

Has anyone hear of crosscontinental.org or Project Abroad? I’ve looked into both. Cross continental is extremely reasonable in price (3 months in China for $1500 + $290 registration-this includes most expenses except travel), but it’s a new organization. I’m trying to find out more about it.

Hi. A friend of mine did his internship through Xilkroad Education. You pay a fee for the program but everything is taken care of. Saves time! [Internship in Shanghai](http://www.xilkroad.com/)

Yeah, highly recommend www.CrossContinental.org. Unbeatable prices. [Great international internship and volunteer abroad programs](http://www.crosscontinental.org). You can check the pictures of past volunteers and interns at [CrossContinental.org | Facebook](CrossContinental.org).

Last summer I was doing my internship in Shanghai. Most of my friends were doing the same in Shanghai. It was an experience to remember. I just advise people to search for fair price for those companies which look for an internship for you. Most of them overcharge the real price. For example, I paid 800 USD for the internship placement with My International Gateway ([Your Internship in Shanghai](http://www.myinternationalgateway.com)) and some of my friends in Shanghai paid arround 2,500 USD for the same service that I received.

Ask for quotation for more than one company before you start your internship overseas!

Good luck!!!

Why do the last 3 posters only have 1 post a piece and sound like advertisements for the companies they promote?
