Summer Internships for High Schoolers

<p>I am a current high school junior from the East Coast, and I have been searching for internship positions which are available to students my age for any part of July and/or August of 2010.</p>

<p>I would be more than willing to travel to almost any location on the eastern seaboard, am open to both paid and unpaid positions, and have interests ranging from the humanities and philanthropy to biological research. </p>

<p>If anyone has any suggestions as to where to look or apply, advice would be greatly appreciated! If you can, please try to post a brief description of the program(s) you suggest or a link to a websie or an online application. Please do not hesitate to post internships unrelated to the aforementioned subject areas; maybe another student will benefit from the information even if I do not. Thanks!</p>

<p>Look for state internships. There are usually plenty, and many are open to high school students. Other than that, look for local businesses.</p>
