Summer Jobs/Internships

Ok I really want a summer job or internship but I have no idea how to find one! Can someone please help me?

I’m in the same dilemma as you, even though you didn’t give much information; some advice I would give if you haven’t already started searching is Google for jobs/internships in your area & see what happens. Another thing I been doing is looking in news papers. I’m planning on continuing on my Google/news paper search & informing my friends and family because they can be great connections in finding a job/internship, although I’m sure my family would do more harm then help to my cause.
I wish you all of good luck. (:

Ask adults you know. They’ll have connections, maybe their workplace sometimes hires minors. That’s going to be your most effective tactic, probably. It’s how I found a paid internship for this summer.

Going the conventional route of filling out job applications and turning in resumes can sometimes work, but in this job market it’s really difficult for teenagers to get anywhere. Don’t even bother if you’re under 16 since almost everywhere has age limits, but if you’re 16 or older, you can try places that you know hire high school kids. Try Starbucks, supermarkets, that type of thing. Some of your friends probably have jobs, so apply to the places where they work, or similar businesses.

Best of luck to you!

If there is a Kumon in your area, they generally hire as young as 14.
