I'm really interested in participating in a math/science program this summer at the University of Michigan. There are two I have in mind:

-Michigan Math and Science Scholars Program
[MMSS

-Computer Aided Engineering Network Program
Michigan Engineering | Welcome!](http://www.math.lsa.umich.edu/mmss/)

My first question is, will colleges even care that I've participated in either of these? And if so, which would they prefer? I intend to major in either Comp Sci, Math, or Physics, and my two top-choice schools are CMU and UMich.
