<p>Hi, everyone!! So I will be attending UCSC in the Fall, but I am not familiar with these two major events. What happens at Summer Orientation, besides setting up a class schedule? </p>
<p>Also, does Fall Welcome Week happen the day I move into the dorms all the way up until the first day of class? How long are the scheduled events and does each event during Fall Welcome last the entire day?</p>

<p>You should log in to your MyUCSC portal and select Summer Orientation to view the PDF for the event. And you better do it soon as it is by reservation. Follow all the instructions you received in your emailed or US Mail admittance packet. If you miss a deadline you may loose your admission. </p>
<p>I went to the UCSC summer orientation last year. So at the orientation, you get to go on campus tours depending on what college your affiliated with. You can also visit your dorm room and see your college adviser. The other thing is that you can sign up for classes online. Don’t wait in line to use the computers because you will end up waiting for hours in line just to use the computer. It is fine to enroll for classes using your laptop or smartphone. For me, I just enrolled in class using my phone.</p>
