Whatever we’re doing Skype!

Hey all,

Just thought I’d add to the conversation. I’ll hopefully be at the June orientation as well. I’m a sophomore (soon to be junior). Kinda nervous about transferring and having to start over with friends, so I’d love to be able to meet up with ya’ll!

I notice that many of you will be living off-campus. I was thinking abt doing the same but people told me that it will be difficult for me to make friends. So where will you stay? apartment?

For the skype meeting, my skype name is princesssluv8
let’s meet there so we can chill out and get to know better each other before the orientation.

@princess no its not really true from what i understand…u make friends through common classes, societies, by meeting ppl through ppl. dorms are just a faster way to know ppl around u and get social comfortably. off campus is just cheaper, better living standard, better opportunity to study in peace, food of ur choice etc. ofcourse there’s a downside to both, but off campus also helps u explore the city (which i hear is pretty sweet).

lol i digress

u wanna see ur priorities though. everybody eventually makes friends. dorms are just kinda hard to study in i guess.

and off campus all the way. I don’t need someone to tell me when to eat or when it’s lights out. and I especially don’t want to share a bathroom with 2 other slobs.
You’ll make tons of friends even if you don’t live on campus. All the cool people live off campus cause that’s where the action is at lol :]

Wow…

@timmyjunky mine is on the 18th… grrrrrrr we should do a party at the beginning of the semester for our bday. lool!

I was thinking about the co-ops too but i think that an appartment would be better. thanks you all(rall, grimmy) for helping me in that decision. but i think that i will look for a roomate.

let’s start adding people on skype

Come on peepz join the group!

Hello I just recently accepted the offer and well yeah it’d be cool to meet you all!

Hi Guys I was accepted too! I am kind of worry about the tuition, but I am really interested to be part of UTexas!
Girl/International( brazilian)/20 years/Cola-Economics
Guys,can you help me?
As an international I had a different type of education system in Brazil, in my first years at college I had credits direct for the major I chose on the application,so I did not have this general education. They can still accept this credits as out of residence credits?( I completed more than 120 credits in Brazil and I hope to use half of them to meet the freshmen credits).
Any international who did this?

Thank you

Hello everyone,

Congratulations to everyone who has been accepted to UT as a transfer, and to those still awaiting decisions, hang in there. I can no longer attend summer orientation and must do the fall one (I know, a few days before the start of class is really bad). I had booked June 25-26. I know that when I cancel, a spot will open up. If you are interested in taking it, please let me know. I will hold off on cancelling until we make an arrangement. Please make sure this date will include your specific college.

Thank you,

Okay sorry I have been out of the loop the last couple of weeks. I don’t know about yall but I had finals so I pretty much became a cavetroll. Haha. So whats the deal, a UT Transfer Fall 2012 facebook page or what?

@cm1251 If that offer still stands I would be SO happy if you could keep the spot on hold for me!
I’m a CAP student so I won’t be accepted until late May/early June and July is a tough time for orientation I’m a Bio major in the College of Natural Sciences. Thank you!!

No problem, just let me know when you hear back and plan to register. PM me and I’ll give you my cell or something since I don’t check this website very often.
