@akacesfan This year there has been so much snow. I predict the snow will be gone by mid April. Also, how does someone get involved with youth court?

Class of 2012! I’m probably just chilling and going on vacations with friends and family. I can’t really make plans until I figure out where I’m going to college haha.

Ahh I tried to get an internship last summer and everyone wanted undergrads. And I literally searched everywhere. I may try again this summer but the chance of getting one is slim.

'14. Hopefully I’ll get accepted to either VA Gov School-Japanese, VA STARTALK-Russian, or CIEE-Korea. Then I’ll work on my public speaking skills and do a few college visits (Georgetown, American, Boston U, and maybe Dartmouth or Tufts).

EDIT: How could I forget AP summer assignments and work? lol.

Class of 2012! And I’m going to be working at an Alliance Fran

'15
Hoping to organise a language exchange to Madrid, but that may not happen this summer as I’m really not good with hot weather.
Also I’m planning on going to Berlin with a friend, as we both got rejected from an over subscribed history trip, going there in the Autumn.
And start a job at a local tutoring centre, marking papers. Hoping to earn enough money to fund above trips and others!

And how could I forget, a 4 day debate camp in mid August that I’m so hyped about! And maybe another track cycling camp, I’m going on one at easter for 3 days.

'13.

I’m going to Girl’s State the last week of June. Hopefully I can apply and get accepted to another summer program, course, or internship. If not, I’ll audition for a local musical, volunteer at the library, stuff like that. I’d also like to start working on the Common App.

2013, MITES? or maybe not… haha, probably working parttime (hopefully fulltime), volunteering at a local summer daycamp, playing/organizing quidditch games, screenprinting, etc

bump…

Class of '15…basketball workouts all of june, volunteering at the local science museum twice a week, studying for ap pshychology and ap human geo., CRAZY amount of summer reading, learning algebra II before sophomore year, 2 week summer program at University of Rochester, reading, sleeping, trying to enjoy any spare time I have.

Class of 2014. Working full-time, and self-studying AP Bio. I might pick up a couple of classes at the local CC.

Class of '15. Three weeks of studying The History of Disease, then volunteering at Yale-New Haven Hospital for about 12 hours a week for 5 weeks, visiting Canada, pre-season for field hockey, and casually studying physics and biology.

Class of '15 here. I’m volunteering at two hospitals for seven or eight weeks. Also, I’m going to attend meetings for this teen advisory council. If I get in, I will be apart of this regional commission. Not to mention the usual stuff: getting acquainted with the next year’s AP classes, reading a couple good books, and studying for the AMC/Math Team. My goal is to get 150 hours over the summer. Should be fun :D.

Class of '14. Hopefully going to a summer science and math program, if accepted. If not I will probably be taking classes at the local college and getting a ton of community service hours.

'14.

Pre-college arts program at Wesleyan University for 5 weeks (I’m pretty sure I got in, but they haven’t sent out official results yet).

There’s a slight chance I’ll go to Warped Tour. The set list is terrible, and I’m not sure if any of my friends are going, but… eh. It was fun last year. I might go to Connecticon again, too, and then go to Georgia to see some family.

It’s likely I’ll get a job and/or do some volunteer work in combination with inevitable AP summer work.

Lastly, I’m not going to shun my friends like I did last summer (due to sheer apathy)- I’m going out whether I feel like it or not xP.

-Summer lacrosse
-Archaeology trip in Belize
-Volunteer at conservancy at an island off NC
-Go to Fiji to study shark behavior
((((Do these count as EC’s??))))

class of 15^

Class of 2015!

Play lots and lots… and lots of golf.
Study for SAT’s
Part-time job (maybe)
International trip for community service

'15
Taking chem over the summer so I can take Ap sciences next year.
Tennis tryout and conditioning.

Class of '13

Going to Girl’s State mid June and (hopefully) Colorado afterwards for a two week intensive art program. Maybe NHD Nationals if we’re lucky… but that’s stretch.

Otherwise, I’ll intern at an architecture firm, volunteer at the local library, study for the SAT and prepare for college apps. Ohh, and in July we’re going up north to visit colleges.

And there’s the AP homework that I’ll probably do last minute (like last year). Some things never change.

Jealous of all the long holidays, we only get 6 weeks off, which makes doing stuff a bit harder :(
