Summer is soon approaching, even though it doesn’t really feel like it. I am suddenly panicking, because I was rejected from a summer program that lasts a month. Now, my summer before senior year completely open. I have thought of a few ways to spend summer, but I am conflicted on what to do.
I could:
- Get a job
- Get an internship/volunteer at a historical site
- Take calculus classes to get a head start for A/B Calc
- Try to travel (although I don’t have much money)
Any suggestions on what I should do? What are you guys doing?
I too was rejected from a summer program (had 4% acceptance rate lol) but I had applied to three other summer programs. I say it would depend on what you are aiming to do in college and how this summer experience would aid in showing your interest in that.
@alison16 Keep in mind that some of the activities you mentioned (job, internship) may have application deadlines, so it is a good idea to keep on top of things and plan ahead. If you decide to travel afar, prices are usually higher the later you buy, so it is also a good idea to plan ahead.
