Summer program Cornell Nanobiotech and NIH

guess so...

I hope so. I really want to get in!!!

Has anyone heard from them yet!? Its the 25th and I havent rechieved any mail... this waiting is too much stress before AP exams.

Stressed out?
Why?
Is this program really really important to you or something?? Less than 10 people are accepted every year.
Dude don't worry about it, study for your exam.s
I didn't get any email here either.
Rejection probably.
It's okay though..I'm going to another program that kinda overlaps in the same time.

If any of you end up going, let me know. I'm probably working in the Cornell Chem Lab all summer.

Only 10 or so people? I thought/was under the impression for some reason that they accepted or will accept around 20 or so people this year since it was just started a few years ago and I assume planning to expand?

"I was in the nanobiotech program last year if anyone is still interested in info. Last year 84 people applied and 6 were chosen for internships. They ask for a transcript later on."

well, thats what it was last year....also, keep in mind people that the confirmation e-mail said we may not know until may....:(

"Award notifications will be sent out during the last week of April or in early May"

The website said award notification was on April 25th. Does anyone have any idea of how many transcript request letters tend to be sent out?

i think that at least all of us got them, it might not be any cutoff or anything

no idea. i got a transcript request also. no word from them yet -- oh well

Neither I nor sarorah received them. I didn't even have a biology course (stupid junior high wants 9th graders to take physical science) - which probably killed my app.

Hmm, I was under the impression that she only sent out only 8 or 10 transcript requests. Its always hard for anyone to sort through more than 30 applications per avaible position. Selection becomes rather aribitary for some of these programs (ex. RSI). Does anyone think she will send out acceptance letters before the rest?

who knows, might want to mail her or ask her over the phone. because it's anyone's guess...

I had biology, John's Hopkin's summer biotechnology, chemistry, some math and technology and I thought I had a good shot, but I guess not.

wait, how do you know she only sent out that many transcript requests?

Everyone's confused, why doesn't someone just email her?
I guess we should just wait and see what happens?

yeah, someone e-mail her.....someone......

lol, She didnt respond to emails, calling was the only way I could get through. So I would suggest that.

well, im not good with talking on the phone, so im not gonna do it...also, i reiterate aAtomosmoin, where did you get that number of transcript requests?

So you got through Atomosmoin? So what's the deal? Acceptances sent first? Are we getting results any time soon? Eh?
