Summer program for rising 9th graders

Most of the summer programs are meant for Juniors and Seniors. My daughter is a rising freshman and is looking for a STEM based/ Leadership summer program. She is interested in Machine learning/Data science/Astronomy . Can you please suggest some.

UVA’s Summer Enrichment Program is great, you could check that out. You could check out virtual summer camps for machine learning/data science!

I could be wrong about this because I stay here in my comfy prep school corner of the world, but I think CC has a forum for summer programs over in the regular high school section? In any case, I would think that the general high school population might have more eyes on it, and would yield more info. Again, my guess, which is from someone with blinders on.

I thought I posted it in regular high school section. Let me see if I can move it there

Miss Porters is having their summer leadership program. Check it out.

All three of my daughters were selected to participate in the summer BLAST program sponsored by the Virginia Space Grant Consortium and they loved it. The program is for rising 9th and 10th graders and they can choose from programs on VT or UVA’s campus. All three of mine went to the UVA program, got to meet an astronaut and use the McCormick Observatory.

The application period has ended for this year but opens in November every year.

If you’re not in Virginia, maybe you can check out the Space Grant website (https://spacegrant.org/) to see if there is a similar program in your state.
