Hi, I'm going to be a rising junior this summer and I'm looking for some summer programs to do. I'm not really big on STEM but maybe something related to humanities, history, writing, leadership, business, etc. Cost shouldn't be TOO much of an issue but I would rather it be less expensive (not a program that just shows your parents have too much $$ to spend). So yeah I would prefer it to be more selective, and if you have any programs that you enjoyed that fit that criteria please share!

edit: college credit is also a plus!

A quick search of the forums will yield many answers…

I would recomened that you look into your states governors school(if your state has one). Stanford runs a few great programs, where i believe aid is givin out. Also, every university has some sort of summer research program for undergrads. Find an aspect that you are interested in and apply. Most don’t have to be science related, although I know that M.I.T. runs one that is free of charge(if you get in). The research route merits many good looks from colleges. I would reiterate that looking into state funded programs or non-profits in your state are very good for business and leadership.
