What are some besides FSSP?
I tried looking online but couldnt really find much. any links?

I know there are prety much just summer sessions

Well, there’s Summer Bridge, but it’s gear for a specific group of students:
“Summer Bridge is for incoming UCI freshmen who are first generation college students, low-income, or disabled, and who demonstrate an academic need that can be met by the program. Participation is by invitation only.”

In addition to the FSSP, there’s the general summer sessions (FSSP occurs during SS II… there’s also SSI and 10-week summer quarter classes, which opens up more course options). I’m not sure whether incoming freshmen are eligible for the Travel-Study Programs, but if you’re interested you could contact them (travel-study@uci.edu or call (949) 824-0234); frankly, I suspect you’d get more out this program after being at UCI for a year or two.
