I am going to be a junior this year. What are the best summer programs that I can apply to next year (before i turn senior) and did I miss any opportunites during this summer cause i just sat at home and did nothing except read all the works of Shakespeare.
Anyway
Please reply

sitting at home is always a waste of time in the mind of a college, but if you do something with that Shakespearean knowledge, you can pass it off as preparation, like you could introduce younger kids to Shakespeare through a program you organize yourself, colleges would love stuff like that

as far as summer programs go, if you are really academically oriented and are looking at high-up schools, apply to TASP because it's free

Choose a program that ties in with your personal interests, because those tie in with your essays best (eg i am taking a film class)

Can I apply to the above mentioned program?
I thought I couldn't because i was a junior and only sophmores are allowed to apply.

tasp happens during the summer between junior and senior years. you apply as a junior. you may have been confusing it with Tass, the other Telluride Assoc. high school program, which is for sophomores.

Thanks for clearing this up

wat is tasp? is it hard to get into, like hard as NIH or RSI? wat fields is it good for? bio/med??

Have you tried doing a google search for TASP and other summer programs? There is easily obtained information that will answer your questions.

this took 3 seconds by googling TASP and "summer program" http://www.tellurideassociation.org/tasp1.html

Read through the threads here also, there's a lot of information.
