Summer Programs that Admit Freshmen/Sophomores...?

Hi, y’all! I’m currently a freshman in high school, and I’m looking at summer programs at universities. The problem is, I haven’t found many programs that will admit soon-to-be sophomores who apply, and the ones who do are incredibly expensive, but the programs that offer aid or are free of charge are for juniors/future seniors. Could you point me toward a program that isn’t expensive and accepts freshmen, or just give suggestions? Thank you!!!

Also, I’m sorry, I forgot to mention this: I’m looking for math/science/tech programs.

Are you looking for a selective program specifically?

It would be great if it were a selective program, yes.

These are few and far between. You are better off using this summer to do something close to home. Volunteer, take a community college class, study up for something like math competitions or Quiz Bowl or whatever so you can really shine as a junior. One thing to note is that often you have to apply to colleges prior to your senior year/season in an EC. So if you can have strong accomplishments as a junior, that can get on your resume. Spend this summer drilling on or improving in something so you can power to great performances junior year.

Where are you located? COSMOS in California takes rising sophomores for some of the topics.

I’m on the other side of the country, Ynotgo.
