Summer Programs That Look Good on College Applications

It is preferable to do a research program over classes and I believe Clark’s actually pays the students.

RISE at Boston University & HSSRP at UCLA
Could anyone with any knowledge on either of these programs explain how prestigious they are in comparison with each other? I have to decide by tomorrow, lol

UCLA HSSRP is free and BU RISE is a couple thousand dollars, correct? If so, I would definitely go with HSSRP.

Hahah on the surface, I definitely agree. But it was difficult to even find HSSRP and RISE has more applicants and the same number of participants so I was wondering if maybe to colleges there would be a difference in their appearance

Also, at the moment, I would prefer going to NE for college (Cali isn’t far behind though)

What about the apprenticeship position in www.educationaladvancement.org/programs/apprenticeship?

My D (HS Junior) has ben accepted as an apprentice for summer 2013 at the Semel Institute and her goal is to become a psychiatrist too which is why she is excited about shadowing neuropsychologists and professors as a part of this apprenticeship.

Has anybody done this before and do you have anything to share about its applicability to collrge admissions?

Hi guys!

there is a leadership conference in hong kong called International Student Leadership Conference Hong Kong that goes on during summer for a week. There are around 60 students in the conference from around the world. I’ve personally been to this conference and it was a phenomenal experience to meet people and to learn about leadership.

I highly recommend LEDA SHOLARS!! IT is for rising seniors, applications are usually due around October!! the website is LEDA[/url”>http://www.ledascholars.org/]LEDA it is highly selective and looks amazing on college apps! it pays for everything and this year it is hosted at Princeton.
