<p>Are these summer programs just scamming high school students or are they of merit? I'm applying to Telluride, Governors School, and the summer college at Yale. Which one would you classify as the most prestigious? Why?</p>
<p>my opinion is that their level in prestige is just as u listed: Telluride, Gov, Yale.</p>
<p>Telluride- If I'm not mistaken, thats the org. that organizes TASP and thats an excellent program.
Gov- no reason, have just heard about it.
Yale- though many people have fun, i think its a way to fill the dorms in the summer time at these university and they usually cost like $9000. Maybe it is just be but I think the best summer programs are the free ones.</p>
<p>Telluride does organize TASP. It is quite a reach.
Governor's School is definitely not scamming. Isn't it state-sponsored or something (there are none in California, so I don't really know)?</p>
