Summer Programs

I am a Junior this year and I want to go to a fairly to very prestigious summer program this summer.

My first criterion would be prestige, followed by college credit / education.

Right now, I am thinking about:

RSI (Getting accepted here would make me unbelievably happy)
JSA (I like politics, but not as much as science)
Telluride (I don't know a lot about this. .. can somebody explain? What is the focus of this program? Science? Philosophy?)
Harvard Summer School (I would just take classes that I need / like if I go to summer school. . .)
Stanford Summer School

Can you guys please give me some suggestions?

why are you so obsessed with prestige?

my bad....not obsessed, but prestige shouldn't matter much in selecting a summer program, as long as you learn a lot

i learned so much at the Harvard SSP when i went... but its really not very selective/prestigious even though its harvard... and its waaay expensive (i got lucky w/ full fin. aid)

Telluride is probably more prestigious than say, Stanford's summer school, but since the summer school is essentially composed of college prep classes, I would probably learn more. Furthermore, summer school costs too much. . .
And in my (probably fallacious) opinion, what do you really "learn" from these camps that can actually be applicable to school or life?
But then again, I have so little exposure to summer camps that I don't really know what you get out of one. Therefore, my only real criterion is prestige, unless I get more information, which is why I am posting here.

tellurides incredibly prestigious, but being the kind of person who would want to go there for prestige would not make you an attractive candidate. people who end up at telluride generally love learning, intellectual stimulation and all things related. the application process, therefore, is very rigorous. prestige is NOT the reason to attend. it is free.

in my mind, prestige usually is tantamount to a better experience, or else the camp wouldn't be prestigious
