Would summer programs like LEAD and LBW at Wharton or the Summer Law Institute at UCLA be considered prestigious/creditable?

Anyone know any others?

Telluride is considered very prestigious. But it's diversity-tilted toward lower-income students in general, as far as I know.

If your state has a Governor's School or similar concept (very competitive admission, specific field of work, paid for by state) those are considered quite credible in general as they're backed by the government. (At the same time, a lot of people get in across the 50 states so it's not a "hook" - it is, however a "line.")

TASP is a very prestigious program (TASP is just a shorter name for the Telluride program that lackadaisy said). However, I think that it's the TASS program (also affiliated with telluride I think) which is tilted towards minorities and lower-income students (correct me if i'm wrong, I got this from reading the TASP thread on college confidential).
TASP is second only to RSI (Research science institute) which is a prestigious science program at MIT. I think there's also a CCIS program which is a program about medical research, and a research program called SSP which is at caltech...

Are these programs still open for applications?

I know that TASP and RSI applications were due in like january or february because lots of my friends applied. You might have to look into CCIS and SSP though, I heard about those ones on college confidential

all of them have had their deadlines gone
