Summer Programs????

I am applying for a winter Outward Bound Program and I wanted to know whether or not this would look good to colleges? The one I am looking at mostly involves ice climbing, dog sleding, and skiing. I plan on doing this because I like the program, so don’t think I just want to look good to colleges. However, several people have told me that it would look good because it is unusual, and well now I am curious. So any incite would greatly help!

Bump!!!!!!!

sure it'd look good, but it won't make a considerable amount of difference in admissions.

Thanks for the reply. That is what I was thinking. All my friends keep telling me to do something more productive like an internship or something, but personally I would rather do something that I enjoy then spend all summer working. Thanks again!

yeah, do what you want to do. don't do something just because it'd look good on a college app because ultimately, it probably won't make that big of a difference anyway.
