If you are interested in fulfilling a quarter's worth of requirements in the summer, how does that work? do you have to pay extra? can you stay in the housing?

During the middle of Spring Quarter you'll see a new enrollment period for summer classes under "URSA Enrollment Appointments" - you'd select your lectures and discussions like you would for a normal quarter, except you should remember that summer courses are designated for either Session A (the first 6 weeks), Session B (the middle 8 weeks) or Session C (the last 6 weeks) and it isn't readily apparent the way URSA displays it. Tuition fees appear just before the Summer quarter under your "Summer Session BAR Account" - it's cheaper than normal school year courses, and you're billed by the number of units you signed up for. (Also, it's the same amount of tuition whether you're in-state or out-of-state!) You can stay in on-campus housing too - either one of the high-rise dorms, De Neve or the Hitch/Saxon suites. Tuition and housing payments are handled under URSA and MyHousing, due sometime in the weeks between the two quarters. If you want to stay/leave your stuff in on-campus housing between Spring/Summer and Summer/Fall, you can also apply to staythrough by walking to the Housing Office and paying in person.

Can we get financial aid for summer school too?

Hmmm... sorry, I'm not sure about that. I'd say it's probably yes.

yes you can - you need to submit a summer FA application by like May 30th or something.

what's the difference between the 8 week long Session B and the other two Sessions that are only 6 weeks long?

2 weeks :D

LoL you know what i mean. why is one longer?

Session B is longer because it's reserved for the harder courses that need two extra weeks to cover the material, e.g. upper-division courses and Math 31 series courses.

is the summer financial aid usually more or less generous than the regular school year's financial aid? or are they about the same? and how come in my BAR account it says that I owe $2200 for the summer, but in my "view financial aid awards and summary on ursa" it says that the estimated cost for the summer is $4000? Has anyone had that happened to them before?
