when do we pay for tuition

So I'm going to be a UCLA freshman next year. Ive paid for housing, ive paid a couple of deposits.. but my question is - when and how do we pay for tuition? I havent paid anything for that yet! Is their a deadline?

Thanks!

http://www.ursa.ucla.edu for most of the administrative stuff you'll need. Once you log in, just go to the BAR section for billings and payment options. Tuition won't be billed until September (due 20th). I think they will go over this at orientation as well when they show you how to sign up for classes.

in terms of loans and money that we must pay out-of-pocket, does UCLA allow people to pay in monthly installments? I've been checking my eFAN and it's daunting as to when we're supposed to pay and how... They offered loans and stuff but I have no experience dealing w/ these kinds of things. I don't know whether to accept.

If you have grants/scholarships/loans, those will automatically be used to pay tuition+fees for that quarter. Any leftover will be given to you through BruinDirect so that you can pay for housing, books, etc. On the other hand, if it's not enough, then you'll have to pay the difference. Tuition and most fees are billed at the beginning of each quarter and additional fees are billed at the end of the quarter. Monthly installments isn't an option (at least generally).

For the federal Work Study program, can someone please explain to me how that works? From what I know, if you accept, you go online somewhere to look for jobs and then what? Do they pay you or does it all go to the tuition? Thanks
