Summer Research or Internship?

Hey everyone,

I am deciding my summer plan right now and wondering whether i should do an accounting internship or econ research at grad school.

after i graduate im planning to go into finance/banking, but im also considering doing an econ phd program.

which option do you recommend? ideally, id like to do both...but since my time is limited i can choose only one.

Doing econ research will give you an idea of whether or not you really want to do a PHD program.

If you're a good student with good grades, you're likely to be able to get a job in finance/banking when you finish school....and doing the summer research may even be a plus.

Questions

1) Do you have the offers on hand?
2) Accounting internship doing what (don't just say accounting)? Econ Research, doing what? I doubt you can do anything too valuable if you have not taken econometrics yet.
