Hi, I was just wondering if anyone knows of any Summer Medical Research that its too competitive but is very enriching for the students. I have on my list: OSU-SOM Success program, Vanderbilt University biology science academy research, UVA- Summer Research (SRIP), University of Louisville - Cardiovascular research program and UofL NFS plant biology summer research and Wake Forest University Summer Research program. It must have housing for free and an okay stipend ($2000-5000 is fine). I would prefer the program to be on the East Coast since my Dad is sick and I need to be close to him. I am in need of summer research because I am interested in pursuing a MD/PhD. Please let me know if you all have any in mind.

Check out the NSFW REU (research experience for undergraduates) program. Lots of options at universities all over the country, and they pay pretty well.

Also, see if any professors at your school need a summer research assistant. This may or may not be paid, but AL least you could get your foot in the door.

Good luck!
