<p>I've been wondering about research programs, too! Does anyone have any specific suggestions?</p>
<p>Here are a few research oriented programs. Some are specifically for medicine, others cover a range of subjects. All are compeititve, scholarship based programs. Some have stipends.</p>

<p>The Garcia MRSEC program at SUNY Stony Brook is a very successful research program --> last year 30 Siemens semi's --> 4 national finalists, this year 15ish Siemens semi's (basically 1/4 of NY's Siemens qualifiers)</p>
<p>I believe some did medical related research when I was there.</p>
