summer sat study plan

ok...so for those of us who did not reach our personal sat goals in april ... and are planning to retake in oct...what r u guys doing for summer/early fall prep???

i was thinking about a practice test every sat after school ends (and aps and sat2s are over, and not durring my 3 week college class)

anything else?

i would also like to know if somebody has a plan(s)

im going to do the blue book since i never knew it existed until probably an hour ago

Are they going to make a new edition of the blue book?
(yea I know, online, $70-6 tests...i prefer $10-8 tests)

I think Princeton Review's 11 practice tests are different from 2005-2006 editions.

btw, when do we know next year SAT's schedule? Is it going to be posted on CB soon? I need this info to register in advance and start my review. I did horrible in the April one.

I'm definitely going to study the blue book hardcore. haha. But I'll be in Europe for 3 weeks, and I'm NOT going to do practice tests there, so for those weeks it'll be my goal to READDDD as much as possible, especially on the plane. Gotta get those CR points!

Good luck to us all.

What's the blue book?

The Official SAT Study Guide by College Board.

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/0874477182/sr=8-1/qid=1145997290/ref=sr_1_1/102-0030523-3857764?%5Fencoding=UTF8

Yup.. just lots of practice tests and reviewing answers..

I didn't realize the blue book until a few days ago as well.. gonna get that.

Vocab cards and practicing writing essays.. I majorly suck at writing and all writing related stuff.

if I dont hit a 2300+ in june, Im going to

1) kill my slef
2) if the former doesnt happen im going to lock my self in my room with tbe blue book and memorize each problem if I have to to hit the sweet victory of the 2300+ lol

Crosses Fingers. Will I get this far?

^ :-O You're going to spend four hours a day studying?!?!?!?!

if you spend 4 hours studying each day, you'll get much higher than your 730-500-580 combo

Hey does anyone know about the online college board study program for $70? I heard you can take tests and have your essays graded online. Any comments?

you get 6 practice test and lots of other questions, the totorial is no help at all, same as the book
teh practice test have some repeating question you would find in the old 10 real sats

so the blue book is the "OFFICIAL SAT STUDY GUIDE" BY college board???

yes

and to lilkiller you will get much higher than youre predicted scores if you study that hard..

I am new to this forum, but not the SAT.

The SAT online course is great if you need more practice questions, especially in math. However, it is overpriced (should cost $25) and answer explanations can often be tedious and too technical. But the online essay grader can be really fun if you want to make it into a game. For example, if you score a 4, increase the length, strengthen your topic sentences and see what happens...a little more predictable than you would think. Or you could try using ridiculous examples...although I don't recommend such an approach on test day.

My plan is to study hardcore.

I guess my 730-500-580 combo is a fixed minimum. Ideally, I would love to see a 750-520-600 combo.
