Summer School Problems

I go to TJHSST and right now I'm taking summer chem, where we basically take the whole honors course and condense it to one month.

The last day to drop out of this class is this Friday by 4 PM (which would mean that I would have to decided by tomorrow essentially.) Right now I have a B+, edging right on an A- and I have been pretty consistent with that grade until i got to solutions. We're taking the test on that tomorrow but I got a 58% on the homework. And the teachers say that if I don't get solutions, I'm basically screwed for the next units, especially Acid/Base.

Should I just drop out while I can? It'll show a WP on my report card which means that I basically gave up on it. I feel like if colleges see that, they'll just think I'm a quitter and trying to take the easier way. If I do stick to the end, I'll be taking both AP Chem and AP Bio and I'm not sure how well I'll be able to manage that. The only reason I stacked up 2 science APs like this is because I won't have any space in my schedule later and I'd much rather do AP Chem than Physics. But if I don't get a good grade in summer chem, wouldn't it just mess me up for AP Chem?

A B or C in that class really isn’t the end of the world and looks a heck of a lot better than a WP.

If you are on the science track for college, take physics in high school. You’ll be glad you did. Adjust your schedule accordingly.

Well, I will be taking physics. What I meant to say was that I’d rather take AP Chem than AP Physics. Sorry if that was causing any confusion.

My real worry is if this will create an avalanche effect on my AP Chem grade since my foundation would probably a bit shaky
