Summer School Vs. Internship

I am wondering what will help me more on my way to getting a job after school. I am a sophomore majoring in finance so I am just planning ahead for next year. They both have advantages:

Summer School: My first year I thought I wanted to major in psychology but after taking courses in it I realized this was not for me so now I am at a set back. Taking summer courses would put me back on track. However I'm sure big companies would rather see internship experience.

Internship: I'm sure companies would want to see this on my resume; but I have to play catch up or the next summer with the classes because I can't really afford to stay 5 years.

Any advice at all is welcome!

Summer school means nothing.

Maybe take summer classses while doing a part-time local internship

That seems most logical, I'm just not sure I'll have the time for both.

Well if you are only a sophomore, you still have plenty of time for internships. Take summer school classes to make up for the classes you need. Focus on internships next summer.

Cool, how many internships do the ideal candidates have during their college career?

Two solid ones.

It's hard to find really meaningful internships until your junior year. If you have to take summer classes, do it now and next summer , the internship will be much more important.

Yeah registration for summer classes this summer are over so I guess I will take them next year when I'll be a rising junior.
