No, but, other ppl can track MY things?

He didn't track YOUR package QuantumArbiter. He copy and pasted what USPS told him, so the "Your ..." was referencing bks85

Nice, Derivate!
I believe it's like 75 cents extra.
edit: yeah, sorry QuantumArbiter, the tracking was for my own package, not yours.

^ lol mine was delivered one minute after yours.

We seriously need to change the topic of this discussion.

Mailman: I guess this letter goes here to this "ssp" place ..and this one..and this one..and this one..and this and this and this....

Anyway, this is about as nervewracking as my senior friends who today are awaiting acceptance from UCLA!

So, what other summer programs have you guys applied to? I did MITES, YESS, SSP, and COSMOS.

Which campus/cluster did you apply to for COSMOS? UCSC 9 is the best use of a summer for a sophomore, and probably for a junior, if you want an awesome intellectual free for all with professors who humor your every curiosity.

I did SIMONS, TASP, and SSP, though I pretty much only finished TASP because I asked someone for the letter of req. That app was pretty ugly all around.

Applying to ISSYP today. Lol, I've been rejected from SSP but I can't still help checking this thread everyday :P

haha mine was delivered on the 18th as well. around 3 o clock.

Is ISSYP for Canadian students only? or do they take other applicants as well?
edit: Nevermind. INTERNATIONAl summer school

I also applied to RSI (rejected), YESS, and Boston Internship Program

I'm expecting responses from SSP, Clarks, CMU AP/EA, and WTP, though the last one is a safety. I wonder how generous they are with financial aid. That's a strong tipping factor for me.

I'm waiting on responses from YESS, MITES and SSP. I should find out about MITES and YESS in mid-Aprilish. I want to go to MITES the most out of the 3 (if SSP was free two then it would probably be a tie between MITES and SSP, both sound really good).

I tried out for Governor's School, SSP, and CMU AP/EA

I applied to RSI (rejected) SIMR (pending) and SSP (pending)

But I am quite interested in the Ross Program.
Number Theory for a summer sounds intriguing.

I might apply to PROMYS and I'm in the process of applying to the Boston Intern PRogram. For the Boston one, do we need a research topic in mind when writing, or are we assigned to so some research in a randomly assigned area? Sorry, I know this is the SSP thread, but I just want to know.

There seems to be a great deal of OCD here..
It is only a summer program!

"OH NO!!! Ok, please you've got to read this."
word count...lack of patience...lack of maturity, much?

(going by the choice of monikers here, I can draw one conclusion...rollyeyes)

Isn't that kind of the general sentiment on CC overall anyway?
(@magi)

I partially agree (at least with the whole word count thing), but as an applicant, I understand where everyone is coming from. You have to realize that getting into one of these summer programs can mean a lot to someone.

Hey, it's six weeks of our life; I'd rather spend it with awesome people doing cool astronomy than on the couch. Some of it's a bit obsessive, sure, but it's all in good fun (until we get rejected, then those two words become the bane of our existence).
