No

And I asked this like a few months ago.

No

And I asked this like a few months ago.

-Sigh-
I hope the MITES thing is false, although it sounds like several people are saying it’s true. And I hope the 2-3 weeks thing is false as well…And if I’m hoping for things, I hope that I get in. :)

I concur, cranberryorange.

is anyone else going to e-mail Mr.Bowdon about decision time?

wouldn’t that annoy him if like all 300 applicants emailed him asking the same exact question?..

that’s what I am worried about. So I am asking how many people have asked him? He should put that up on SSP website…

LOL, it would probably annoy him if 30 people asked him the same question.

He did say “mid April” so maybe another email will be sent out next week if the notification date is really late April.

Yea 2-3 weeks means late April - not mid April

This rumored delay in decisions is quite upsetting…

I am so happy I found other ssp-applicants. I figured all of us were stressing. We should start a support-group :-O!

I just created a FACEBOOK group called Summer Science Program Applicants 2010
[Welcome to Facebook](<a href=“Facebook - log in or sign up”>Facebook - log in or sign up)
Come and join so we can talk on facebook instead of this forum.

Go future 2010 SSPers!

I joined.

Hope I get in, sigh.

I think I’ll email Bowdon if I don’t hear anything by the end of next week. There’s a deposit due on one of my backups. TGIF everyone!

Just found out my friend’s doctor is on the advisory board for SSP. He says she’s awesome! It’s a small science world after all! :D

what does advisory board do? Making admission decision?

@lc
“The SSP Advisory Board is a group of alumni, former faculty, and other supporters who advise the Board of Trustees on issues of strategic importance to the Program.”

wouldn’t leelac not be able to apply if that person was somehow involved in making the decisions?
i mean can friends/relatives of SSP staff apply to the program? O_o

I think that won’t be a problem. Besides, that’s her/his friend involved more directly

Of course you can still apply. It’s like saying a child can’t apply to Stanford if his father teaches there.
