Summer Science Programs/Internship Opportunities in Colleges?

Has anyone heard of any summer science programs/internships offered at CSU's?

I have tried researching Riverside, Merced, etc but I have not found any programs that focused on science research (not pre-college courses).

I know there are programs (such as COSMOS) held at UC's, but I am also thinking about applying to multiple programs to keep my options open.

If you have attended or come across any of these state college programs, please post them here.

Thank you for your help!

UC has campuses at Merced and Riverside; I don’t think CSU does.

You should contact professors individually if you are able to work out housing on your own.

I have seen threads where students are contacting professors directly when no research program is being offered at that particular university/college/lab.
How does this work exactly?

Well, you just contact professors in your field of interest :).
