Summer Science Research Programs

Just wanted opinions on the following. I'm applying to 6, since that's how many copies of teacher recs I got.

BHSI at UCSF (already applied)

SIMR at Stanford (definitely applying)

Baylor SSRP (any alumni?)

Clark Scholars at TTU (definitely applying)

COSMOS at UCSD (definitely applying)

YSP UC Davis (opinions?)

HSHSP at MSU (definitely applying)

HBRI at UCSD (Is this even worth applying to? I don't live in the San Diego region, though I can probably find housing, but it seems like you need research experience, which I don't have. That said, the program is also very selective, so I suppose my chances are slim.)

Any other similar programs?

Well, you’re too late for RSI, but that’s hella selective.

I’d say six is enough to apply to; you covered the major ones that I’m aware of. The only other thing I’d suggest is the NIH internship program (https://www.training.nih.gov/programs/sip</a>)

Yeah, I considered RSI, but then I realized I didn’t know any programming.
Isn’t the NIH internship insanely hard to get into? Besides, I don’t live anywhere near Bethesda.

Have you heard back from the BHSI internship??

Yes, I was rejected.

rejected before or after the interview?

Before, ha.
