Summer Seminar Participants

I see that people are starting to get accepted into the Summer Seminar so I figured I would start a thread here.

Session A June 3-7

Session B June 9-13

Session C June 16-20

I picked Session C.
Session A was completely out of the question as I'll probably still have school (if we get anymore snow days, and that's pretty likely). I wanted Session A. I thought maybe it would be a little cooler in early June. Oh well, I'm just pumped about going in the first place.

@ILHunter92:
I'm seeing some different dates on my page: "You are attending Session C from 6/15/2009 through 6/19/2009"

Thanks Overachiever I'll switch that and add you. My school's 5th emergency day is June 2 and we have used for already! Oh well we wouldn't be doing anything that day anyway!

Session C June 15-19

Good idea, to get a list started! I must be in a weird school district, because we don't have emergency days. I think we just have some extra days built in. When do you start and finish school ILHunter92? I started on Sept.1 and end on June 5 (I'm leaving early for summer seminar).

I am also attending session C June 15-19

Nice. Maybe I'll see you there :)

I was thinking about leaving school early too, but then I would have to take exams early. That's never any fun.

Yeh well right now im trying to juggle getting army navy and air force seminars in....so i'd be doing finals before june basically. not fun at all, but at least my ap classes will be done already by that point

Wow. You have your toes dipped in everything.

My 2 bits for Overachiever's comment- If there ever was a time to completely load-up on a summer, this year for you guys and gals would be the time to do it. If you are thinking about attending a SA, i'm sure the thought "wow, this could be my last full summer" has crossed your mind. This would be the time to dip your toes in everything you can possibly find!

Last year, right after i came back from USAFA SS, I spent about 30hours at home, then I was off to Boy's State.

Always keep in mind that you need to make yourself the best candidate possible, but also remember that this will possibly be the last summer with your group of friends. Make the time count.

Overachiever16 - where are you in Michigan? We spent 12 years in metro Detroit before moving to Green Bay.

What's with all these Green Bay people now? lol.

Dadandgrad, I live in Carson City. It's north of St. Johns and south of Mt. Pleasant, east of Greenville.

Falcongirl, I started Aug. 19 and end June 1 or 2. Emergency days are the extra days built in we just call em that for some reason lol.

Overachiever16 - Not familiar with Carson City but I found it with your references. We lived in Berkley (north suburbs of Detroit).

I think it's great we have all these Green Bay people now! Actually the upper midwest is well represented with MN, WI and MI.

ILhunter - Are you from Illinois?

I just figured out why there are so many Green Bay people now, haha.

Yep - marciemi suggested that son and husband get their own signons so we multiplied! By the way, do you know a Mike Sortino in Omaha? We met him last week at USAFA when we were doing a visit and hang with a cadet day.

I don't think I do.

I like Johnny Sortino's though. Good restaurant.

Dadandgrad I am from Illinois. And I do hunt lol. Just in case you asked :).

Yea, I've noticed a lot of midwest people here too.
