What are the best classes to take over the summer at CAL, to fulfill requirements for a Business or Econ major. I'll be an incoming freshman but I want to take classes over the summer that I can get credit for and won't have to take again

FYI Cal does not need to be in all caps

I would recommend staying home and either going to a CC or taking courses online through UCB extension (http://extension.berkeley.edu/info/xb_deadlines.pdf)

XB courses through extension are equivalent to campus courses (e.g. History XB7A is the same as History 7A) and they count for your UC GPA.

Why is it better to take these classes at a CC or online? Are the summer sessions not the worth the time and money? I want to try them, so that I can familiarize myself with the campus/ other incoming freshman/ and GSIs.

You should stay home this summer, this is supposed to be your only completely free summer to begin with.
