What do people use? College boxes?
We are at LC.

My dining room. We lug everything home. But we live driving distance away. I’m curious what others do.

I used Alpha House :D

We used college boxes to get stuff there freshman year. Stored at uhaul with them picking up for freshman summer

I have one friend that lives in NY (attends another University) and she has always used traditional storage to keep her things up there while she comes back to Texas over the summer. From what I have heard she has had no problems and has always been able to find one large enough and in her price range.

Here are a list of the units I found in the area: [Find Bronx self storage for rent - SelfStorage.com](20 Cheap Storage Units in Bronx, NY (from $9)), hope you are able to find one for you.

Summer housing in McMahon has always been a convenient option for us. It’s about $2400 for the entire summer and open not only to students taking summer classes but also those working or with an internship in NYC. Given the high price of rent in the area I always thought this was a bargain, not to mention it saved the headaches of packing and unpacking every year. We dropped the kid off freshman year and that was that!!!

Sorry, is “College Boxes” an actual company name? Never heard of it but very interested to learn how people are handling the move-in also. Thanks for any leads!

Yes, Collegeboxes is a company that specializes in catering to college students who need to store stuff for a term or the summer. They seem to be rather expensive but very convenient. If you google Collegeboxes Lincoln Center or Collegeboxes Rose Hill you’ll see what they charge. It looks like $75 for pickup/dropoff, plus about $45 a box for the term. I decided to just try it for a summer since we’re in California and don’t have many other options for storage.
