You just request the university/college you attended in summer to send an official transcript to UCLA Admissions. You can look up the address on the website.

Does anyone know how you find out if they processed your transcript? I sent my transcript over a month ago, but I don’t see any changes to my DPR or anything. I did a bunch of GEs that I know transfers.

(BTW, I’m a continuing student.)

your GEs only show up in your DPR if you got them IGETC certified. I unfortunately didn’t know this, so i had to get my transcript sent an additional time for IGETC certification. You can also call the admissions office at UCLA and they can check it for you.

If you were admitted to UCLA as a freshman or did not complete IGETC or some other GE pathway prior to entry as a transfer, you can’t be IGETC certified, though. After receiving your transcript, UCLA will eventually get around to posting the transferable classes you took to your DPR and they will automatically be shown to satisfy GEs as indicated in the articulation agreements, assuming they exist for the college(s) you took classes at.

UCLA is slow in posting transfer credit during the summer (may take three weeks or more as they seem to have fewer staff on it), but sometimes the problem is actually on the other college’s end. I’ve waited a half-month for a transcript to be sent out in one instance…
