I recently seperated from the military, and I applied to UT. The problem is that i don't know they are going to accept me.

My stats:
53 credit hours
prior military service
3.3 GPA
Great soccer player
Held many leadership positions
Earn many military awards
Age 22

Do you guys think I have a chance?

Can someone please........ give me a reply.

I think I would try and give you an idea, but I honestly have no idea what to tell you. Most of us haven't entered UT yet, but we have an idea of what the freshman admissions standards are. We couldn't accurately give you an answer, since most of us aren't transfer students, much less transfer students from the military. I don't know how they weigh military service, but I would assume it would be a +.

Where did you get your 53 hours from?

I got it from Park University

you've got a pretty good shot. If you didn't get in, it'd be due to your GPA.

Bump..bump anymore replies?

I think you have a good shot. They're going to have a really hard time turning down a person that has military awards. I mean, I don't think there's any better proof that a person is dedicated than that. I think your GPA is just fine.

Thats what I was thinking too, I mean I was a Sergeant in the Army and actually supervised and trained alot of soldiers. I went to school while I had a full time job, and even played soccer for the Army team. I think it was a good thing that I included all of this in my essays and resume.

The average transfer GPA is about a 3.5 but a 3.3 is not far off.

What was your highest math and For. language class?

Brand, is Ut at Austin liberal ???

I've gotten A's in my math classes a B's in my english classes.
