Hello! I am a rising senior and I want to enter into summer ventures but I don’t know if my stats are competitive enough to get in! Could anyone that’s been there tell me their stats? I did great my freshman year, I had a 3.7 unweighted gpa, this year I also have a 3.7 unweighted. My sophomore year it just plummeted, I did my first AP classes and that crashed my gpa and class rank. I got a 1440 on the PSAT(when it was all added together). And volunteer at the hospital frequently. I started a club at my school and am a member of science, model UN, and theatre! Thank you!
Hey! I am a rising senior as well who is also applying. You should still apply even if you do not think your statistics are not competitive. But they seem pretty good! Just try and see what happens.
Just finished Summer Ventures this past summer!
Don’t worry about your stats so much; you can give admissions so much more depth about yourself through your essays. I remember that not everyone at svsm was the best student of their class. Academically, there was a VERY diverse student pool, so don’t feel intimidated that you may not have the “best stats.”
@Iniesta15 May I ask how the experience was and which campus did you go to?
@JonTargaryen Yeah! I went to UNC-Charlotte and it was great. UNCC has the best social activities I would say out of all the campuses as well as one of the nicest campuses other than App State. It was definitely a great experience overall but I wouldn’t categorize it as “life-changing” or anything, but for some students it truly may be.

Sorry for hijacking this thread but when are the deadlines for Summer Ventures? I was trying to get more information but i can’t seem to go to the official website and get the application.
@bksoccer7 hey, it is okay. The deadline is January 31 and transcripts must be sent between February 1 to February 15. Recommendations are due on January 31 as well.
