S19 selected Summer 2019 instead of Fall 2019 for enrollment. If you go on PSU site it list DUS, Summer 2019, EA=Yes. Does anyone know if his application goes through the same time frame and process as the other applications? Would they move him to fall even though he requested summer?
If he applied directly to summer than that’s what he is being considered for. They will not move him to fall. If he selected summer accidentally, you can call and change the enrollment application semester.
At this time of year, there are so many applications that my guess would be that it will go through the same approximate timeline, but he will be facing less competition for a summer only admit.
Thank you for your quick response. My son has heard a lot of good things about starting in the summer. He thought it would be a great way for him to get introduced to college studies and the Penn State life. I just wasn’t sure if they would move him to fall based off of his stats.
Nope! They consider him for the session he applied to. My daughter applied fall but started summer and loved it. Wouldn’t change a thing!
Summer LEAP is the best! He will get 6 credits knocked off his freshmen load, likely start fall with a nice GPA, get the hang of UP, and start fall with a built in network of friends with similar interests.
