Summer!!!

Hey, I'm going to be a junior this coming school year and I need help finding things to do for the rest of the summer. I currently volunteer at a hospital, do my AP homework, and have a job, which I thought would keep me busy during the summer...but it hasn't I seem to have an odd amount of free time, does anybody have suggestions to what else I can do.

Interests:

Poetry
Math
Physics
Medicine
Volleyball

I'd appreciate any suggestions, Thanks.

Hang out with some friends? Try reading some books you've always wanted to.

I mean something that I enjoy thats also academically stimulating.

Well most academically stimulating organized programs were filled up 6 months ago. So that's a bust.

As for academically stimulating things you can do on your own? I'd say reading is major, I wish I were able to find time for it. You can always get a start on ACT/SAT stuff or even SATIIs (you know, math or physics) which can be beneficial for you in the college process too.

Other than that, just have some fun. You seem to be doing a lot already.

HAVE FUN!
relax and chill out
you'll be happy you had some time to chill and good memories with your friends to look back on once hell starts back up in august

I go to summer school. Maybe you can sign up or something.

Summer School in my district was pretty stupid this year, I did it last year, but this year they're not offering any Honors courses.

Thanks for the suggestions, as of now I'm hanging out at the sand volleyball courts at Rutgers (5 min walk from my house) with some friends from the team.

Any suggestions in terms of books, haven't read a good one in awhile.

OK, then make a website. Learn HTML and Javascript (if you haven't already). Or start a blog and practice your writing skills.

From what I hear The Clockwork Orange is pretty good, but I haven't found the time to read it yet. From what I hear, however, it's a pretty hard book to get through because they make up their own language.

I also enjoy almost anything by Jodi Picoult as a simple yet powerful read. =) I'd recommend her books to you.

Thanks, actually my dad is a software programmer, so I learned a lot of programming languages Javascript, HTML, Unix, etc.

Thank You Very Much...I now know what to do!

Thanks for the book suggestions.

ask for more hours at your job

I'm only 15 though, so there are legal restrictions, and the manager is a pretty big dou$che bag
