Is taking a summerschool program at an ivy league school or any university a positive experience? And is the tuition worth the information the courses offer, and is it useful for first year of university?

I wouldn't do it, but that is just me.

It is usually a great experience. Some are just like summer at college, others are more structured. The courses are a mix of special summer offerings and some real courses. Many are taught by visiting faculty instead of regular profs, but not all. Much depends on the school. In general, they do not benefit you in the normal admissions cycle any more than your local CC would.
