Melo...as a 5th year Japanese scholar, you would say Doo~ itashimashi.te. Sumimasen is used more for "I'm sorry" or "excuse me".

Just a helpful tip. ;)

yea i kno. and as a first year japanese amateur i aint realize it until a day after i wrote it.

omg shreegla.....it's ur 5th yr of japanese? puppy eyes are u in college or going to it? what year?

I'm going to be a froshie at SU this fall. :) I've taken Japanese at a summer camp through Concordia College (check us out! http://clvweb.cord.edu/prweb/japanese/japanese.asp) since 8th grade, flew to Japan in the summer between 10th-11th and then studied it at county college this year. I'll be taking the placement test come August, but I'll probably get into a low level course since I only know a few hundred kanji (as opposed to the couple thousand you need to know to be able to read a paper).

But...yeah...anyway...Hi. waves :)

wow. :O i'm sooo jealous. hopefully i can go on JET after college to experience japan. and hopefully i get SOME time off in order to travel to other parts. god i cant wait to find my sexy japanese men. dreamy lecher smile

i wanna travel to japan too. and coughs i only know about 30 kanji.

i only remember like 6, and they're all numbers.

i think i know like 20 something.

...even though i took chinese b4 hehe. But that doesnt count. :D esp cause i hardly remember anything.
