Can I get some chances for these schools? Currently attend Suny Old Westbury, had a 3.75 GPA for the first year and plan to have a 3.8-3.9 gpa for this semester, and most likely next semester. I’m an accounting major going for the school of management, relevant courses: Accounting 1, calculus, macro/micro, stats What are my chances for fall 2016.
You will get into both but for bing you may or may not get into SoM. It’s kind of a crapshoot for transfers. If they offer you a spot at harpur don’t take it . Waste of time. I don’t know if you can go directly into the business school at Baruch (i think you need to take their pre-reqs) but you’re definitely in there.
I graduated from Baruch. I had no issues getting into Baruch but I believe that is because I graduated from a CUNY 2 year school. If you graduate from a CUNY Community College you are guaranteed into any CUNY 4 year school.
And yes, Spinkles is right. For the business school at Baruch you have to take 8 pre business courses before you are even admitted into their business program and must have a cumulative GPA in those 8 courses of 3.25 (They were talking about raising this and I do think for accounting majors you need a bit higher one since accounting is a big major at Baruch)
