i've been accepted to binghamton for fall 08 and the bad part is that i've never visited the campus. I really will like to live in a place where i will fell confortable and like.
last saturday i visited albany, where i also got accepted and i was terribly dissapointed. i didn't like the dorms at all!!! they were all suited of 3 or 2 bedrooms and for me that's too many people.</p>
<p>I've always wanted a "normal" dorm that i could share with one roomate nothing of suited or anything like that. i also like the idea of community bathrooms located at the end of the halls.Also a place where is chemicla or drug free. As you can see i'm looking for the traditional college housing style.</p>
<p>i've heard that in binghamton there are several communitiies. which community do you recommend me to be in????

<p>dickinson and newing are both traditional corridor dorms. i believe that chem free floors are available in each residential community. when you complete housing form (not sure when that is) you list preferences -- whether you get first or second or lesser choice probably depends on how many others request. i think at least 50% of rooms in each community are available for freshmen so freshmen aren't all in one place.</p>

I'm going as a poli sci major so honestly I'll prob be in the library most of the time</p>
