Let's make this concise; I've been accepted to both schools and I'm having a very difficult time to choose between these schools. However, there are some cut-offs i have to share. Ive been admitted to Genseo's business school right off the bat, on the other hand I have failed to get into Binghamton's business school so called the school of management and was put under their liberal arts school (Harpurs) under economics. What do you guys think i should do? Them both being top SUNY schools with a great price of course, and presitious among public universities, should i take a shot at bing and try to transfer back into SOM? Or, i have an option to just go to Geneseo and enroll directly into their business school. Im also worried to the fact that i might fail again to get into SOM during freshman year which leaves me with econ; personally i don't really like econ, but who knows. In terms of campus life and agriculture, they are both distinctly far away from NYC which means being a future business major(accountancy), it may be difficult for me to get internships or job opportunties? as people say business firms do not bother coming all the way up there to offer job fairs as they can offer many at NYU or Baruch.

However, another thing you need to consider is size. Do you want a bigger school or smaller. Also, how committed are you to business? If you are strongly committed, I would choose Geneseo. If you are leaning towards it but are not sure, then you need to look at other factors. In terms of campus life, Geneseo is more isolated and SUNY B is definitely easier to get to from NYC (there are two bus lines and there are buses all the time). Not sure about the living…I will have a better idea of the communities they are in after this week because we will be visiting both (Geneseo on Thursday and Bing on Friday…Syracuse today, and U of Rochester tomorrow.
