i got into the honors program at Ub with a full scholarship, but am thinking i prolly wont attend... the only thing that stood ought to me was their early assurance program they offer

if you maintain above a 3.7 for 2 semesters, you will be considered for a guaranteed spot to buffalo school of medicine

does anyone know about these types of programs...and if it is hard to maintain a 3.7 at a SUNY SCHOOL? i know at a school like cornell this would be very difficult, but im thinking a suny school should be cake.... am i far off?

two of my friends go to suny schools, binghamton and the other one buffalo. from what ive heard from them it is more difficult to do well in introductory courses becasuse public schools dont mind handing out c's, d's, and f's. thats not saying that there arent any a's but it is saying that there arent many a's

really? damn i thought suny schools are notoriously easy

i would assume they may be slightly less motivated than you would be...but as far as grading procedures i think it is fairly safe to say that there is no grade inflation and in most cases grade deflation.

if your also looking at schools like cornell than a suny school would be no problem...just beware

One of my friends at SUNY Buffalo says it's "mad easy". He's got a 3.4 and doesn't do a lot of work he says. The kids sorta smart but if you're there on a full scholarship it shouldn't be too hard. My brothers at SUNY Geneseo (the SUNY honors school) and has about a 3.8. Genny is probably more comparable to UB honors so its definately possible.
